# Superstables docs

Superstables lets an agent find services that charge per request and pay them within a budget you
approve in your wallet. **Single purchase:** approve one purchase in your wallet, on your machine or on superstables.com. **Testnet only.** Payments use
test USDC or test pathUSD; no real money moves.

## Use a budget

[Use a budget](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/client/budget.md) to let an agent buy without asking for each payment, until the
budget is spent or revoked, or expires on Tempo. Start with local approval: the client runs on your machine and serves
an approval page for your browser wallet, with no superstables.com account.

The same guide offers approval on superstables.com when you want to approve from another
device. The client still runs on your machine or server; its agent key and execution records stay
there. Approval on superstables.com does not host the agent or require you to host this website.

On EVM and Solana, the chain enforces the remaining total allowance, without a seller restriction,
expiry or per-payment limit. Whoever holds the agent key can spend that allowance to any address.
Read the [security model](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/client/security.md) before granting a budget.

## Single purchase

[Single purchase](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/client/buy-once.md) lets you approve one purchase in your wallet, on your machine
or on superstables.com. Choose **Single purchase on your machine** (`pay`) for local wallet approval,
or **Single purchase on superstables.com** (`buy-once`) for services in the site's purchase catalogue.
The supported chains differ by task and approval mode; use the
[client README](https://github.com/superstables/superstables#readme) for shared chains,
modes, state and prerequisites.

## Choose your starting point

- **Owner using the website:** follow the [owner guide](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/owner.md) to give an agent a task,
review its approval request, and check activity or revoke a budget.
- **Open-source user with local approvals:** [install and connect the client](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/client.md),
then follow the budget guide. Local approval needs a wallet browser that can reach the client's
loopback page; it uses no website account.
- **Open-source user with approvals on superstables.com:** use the same client installation and task guides,
choosing approval on superstables.com within the guide. You run the client; the owner signs in and approves
on superstables.com. Recovery can still require a local approval page.

- **Over HTTP:** [budget requests on superstables.com](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/budgets.md) require an agent key and signed request
proof. Agents that cannot run commands can [request one purchase](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/purchase.md) without an
installed client or agent key. The owner still approves in their wallet.

## Read with an agent

Each page has a Markdown version at its URL plus `.md`. [/docs/llms.txt](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/llms.txt) lists them.
The read-only docs MCP server at `/api/docs/mcp` offers `list_docs`, `search_docs` and `read_doc`.
For payment handoff rules, read [agent instructions](https://staging-next.superstables.com/agents.md); for uncertain outcomes, use the
[records guide](https://staging-next.superstables.com/docs/client/records.md) before making another payment.
